Useful Microsoft Excel shortcuts

Apply filter to columns

Use Ctrl + Shift + L

This will show a dropdown mark in the first row (Headers)


Select all blanks

  1. Select the range on which you need to get the blanks

  2. Go to Home > Editing > Find & Select (magnifier icon) > Go to Special

  3. Select the Blanks radio button and press Okay


Get tables from websites

  1. Open a blank excel workbook

  2. Go to Data > Get & Transform Data > From Web

  3. Paste the URL on the dialog box appeared and click okay (eg URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_quantum_processors)

  4. Wait for a few seconds and Select the appropriate table from Navigator

  5. If you want to transform the table (editing the columns or filling info) click Transform, otherwise click Load
